Reading and Fantasizing about Science

A highly recommended article on science would be "The Value of Science" written by Richard P. Feynman. Everyone should read it to understand the real role of science and its rationality (this can be found in the last section of the book "What Do You Care What Other People Think?"- by Richard P. Feynman).

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled".- Richard P. Feynman

Another highly recommended book is "Surely Your are Joking Mr Feynman" by Richard P. Feynman. If you haven't read anything on science before, this can be your starting book.

To find the awesomeness of science, you must read science fiction. I would recommend you start with short stories if you are a first time science fiction reader. And you should read them in the following order.

Isaac Asimov

Arthur C. Clarke

Philip K. Dick

I highly recommend that you start with short stories, telling you again. Go for the Robot series by Asimov first, follow it with Foundation series by Asimov, then you can mix up random titles by Asimov and Clarke. When you have read enough of them, read Philip K. Dick. The reason you should read Mr. Dick later is that you really need to sharpen your senses before you can read him.

So good luck. Enjoy the reading, and spread the awesomeness of Science!
